      FAQ

      check_box

How fast can the panel charge my devices?

The HS30 can charge a standard 3,000mAh smartphone in about 1.5–2 hours under strong sunlight, and a 10,000mAh power bank in 4–6 hours.

Actual speed depends on sunlight strength and angle.

      check_box

Can it charge in cloudy weather?

Yes, but performance will drop to 30–60% compared to full sun.

It will still generate power, just at a reduced rate.

      check_box

Can it charge multiple devices at once?

Yes. The dual USB ports allow two devices to be charged simultaneously as long as the total power draw does not exceed the panel’s output capacity.

      check_box

      Is it waterproof?

The solar panel surface is IP65 water-resistant, meaning it handles light rain and splashes.

However, do not expose the USB ports directly to water.

      check_box

Does it work through windows or behind glass?

It will work, but power output will drop significantly because glass blocks part of the sunlight spectrum.

For best results, use the panel outdoors.

      check_box

      Can it charge a laptop?

No. Laptops typically require 45W–100W, which is higher than the HS30’s output.

It is designed for phones, tablets, cameras, GPS devices, and power banks.

      check_box

      Can it charge a laptop?

No. Laptops typically require 45W–100W, which is higher than the HS30’s output.

It is designed for phones, tablets, cameras, GPS devices, and power banks.

      check_box

      Does it store energy?

No. The HS30 is not a power bank.

For best performance, pair it with a 10,000–20,000mAh power bank.

      check_box

      What devices are compatible?

      It works with:
      Smartphones (iPhone, Samsung, Xiaomi…)
      Action cameras (GoPro, Insta360)
      Tablets
      Power banks
GPS devices, camping lights, mini fans
Not recommended for: laptops or high-watt appliances.

      check_box

What is the best way to use it while hiking?

Attach the panel to your backpack using the built-in loops.

It will continuously charge your power bank as you walk, ensuring stable energy throughout the day.

      • Not bad in direct sunlight; slower than AC

I took this 30W foldable solar panel on a recent backpacking trip just to keep my phone charged for emergencies, navigation, and photos. Folded, it fits perfectly in the outer pocket of my pack. It feels durable enough for trail abuse while still being light enough that I barely notice it. Unfolded, it runs almost the full height of my backpack, and the small carabiners make it easy to secure so it doesn’t flap around in the wind.

Since I hiked through forest cover about 40% of the time and direct sunlight the rest, I found that I could top up my external battery over about 5–6 hours of hiking. At home, leaving the panel in strong, direct sunlight, I can refill the same battery in around 4–5 hours, which is exactly what I expected for a compact 30W panel. That was more than enough to keep my phone and headlamp powered for the entire trip.

Like most small solar panels, this one works best when charging an external battery rather than a phone directly — that avoids interruptions from passing clouds or shade. It’s packable, tough, and handled light rain without any issues when I accidentally left it outside overnight.

If you need a reliable backup power source for backpacking, emergencies, or minimalist off-grid trips, this little panel is a great option.

      • Honest review and some helpful advice.

This 30W solar panel works best when it’s outside in direct sunlight — not behind glass, not in the shade, not on cloudy days. It will charge without full sun, but much slower. And like all small panels, if you’re using your phone while charging, it’ll take longer. The more devices you plug in, the slower everything charges. And yes, using an extra-long charging cable makes a noticeable difference.

So keep a few things in mind:

        • direct sunlight is essential

        • turn off the device you’re charging for best results

        • charge one device at a time when possible

        • use the shortest cable you have

Once you understand that, this thing is extremely useful. Great for camping, hiking, hunting, emergency kits, or just staying powered when outlets aren’t available. Folded, it’s roughly the size of a small tablet; opened up, it spans about three tablet-lengths side by side. It comes with carabiners so you can attach it to a backpack, tent, tree, or anything that helps keep it aimed at the sun.

There’s also a small indicator light next to the USB ports — the brighter it glows, the more power the panel is producing.

As long as you use it correctly and follow those simple rules, this little 30W panel is super effective and incredibly easy to use.

      • Great Solar Charger!!

This solar charger has been fantastic for camping trips and outdoor adventures. It’s incredibly easy to use, very compact, and lightweight — perfect for tossing into a backpack without adding bulk. The two USB ports (USB-C + USB-A) are more than enough for my needs, and they let me top up multiple small devices throughout the day without any issues.

The solar conversion efficiency is impressive for a panel this size, and the ETFE-coated surface holds up really well even in less-than-ideal conditions like light rain, humidity, or morning fog. It feels durable, and the panel dries quickly once the sun comes out.

The only minor issue I’ve noticed is that, occasionally, if a cloud passes and the light drops, I may need to unplug and reconnect my device to resume fast charging — but this is rare and only takes a second.

Overall, this 30W panel has been reliable, efficient, and a genuinely useful addition to my camping kit. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a portable power solution for outdoor trips or emergencies.

      • Perfect for those on the go, highly recommend getting one.

When I first purchased this portable solar panel, I was honestly skeptical about what a small 30W panel could actually do. I didn’t expect much — but it has performed far better than I imagined.

Let’s start with the build quality. The design and construction are excellent. The foldable layout makes it extremely portable, and the panels feel sturdy and well-made, not flimsy at all. I also appreciate the included carabiners, which make it easy to hang on a pack or set up anywhere outdoors.

I’m always on the move and carry plenty of tech, so I constantly need extra power. I paired this panel with my 15,000mAh outdoor battery, and the combination works perfectly for my use case. The panel keeps the battery topped up during the day, and the battery quickly charges my phone, earbuds, GPS, and watch whenever I need it. Both the USB-C and USB-A ports work smoothly with no interruptions or delays.

Of course, you shouldn’t expect tiny panels to charge devices as fast as a wall outlet — that’s just physics. But with good sunlight, it does its job reliably every single day. So far it has worked flawlessly for me.

I highly recommend this panel. As long as you understand its limitations and use it correctly, it’s a genuinely smart investment. I’ve even recommended it to several friends who work outdoors, and they’ve all been impressed with how well it performs.

      •  Efficace

Unlike some of the other comments, I find that this little foldable solar panel charges very well. With good sunlight, I can easily get a full charge per day on a 10,000 mAh power bank or directly on my phone. I’m always surprised to see that it still charges — more slowly, of course — even when the sky is a bit cloudy.

This is actually the second one I’ve bought, always during a promotion. Just keep in mind that it will charge much less when attached to a backpack, since you’re constantly changing direction. But when placed in a fixed position facing the sun, it works perfectly.

      • Pretty awesome and well made for the price!

I actually really like this little panel. I didn’t realize at first that it was the 30-watt version — I honestly thought the color had something to do with the price. But what matters is that it works really well, and much better than I expected.

In good sunlight, it charges my devices surprisingly fast for something this lightweight. It folds down super small, feels well-made, and the material on the panels seems tougher than it looks.

There aren’t any extra pockets or compartments on the panel, which I actually prefer — just a clean, simple layout that keeps the whole thing minimal and easy to pack. Unfold, plug in, and you’re charging.

Overall, it’s way nicer than I expected in both build and performance. Ultra portable, very practical, and perfect for any adventure in the woods.

      • Stays Charged While You Keep Moving

I clip the HS30 to my backpack when I hike. It charges while I walk, and the USB-C port is super fast. The panel even worked in cold weather during my mountain trip. Great little charger!

      • Strong Power You Can Take Anywhere

I didn’t think a foldable panel could be this strong. The ETFE layer feels solid and the kickstand helps a lot. I use the HS30 for fishing trips and road travel. It gives me power without needing a wall plug.
